During the first 2 years of my residency work with the Iowa Arts Council, The war in Bosnia was a non-stop topic on the news. Many of my older Junior high and High school students followed this closely and we often talked about what was happening, their feelings and concerns related to the war and how it impacted them and the world in general.

This piece was inspired by those conversations and my thoughts on our ongoing discussions.

The entry melody was created by sampling a gymnasium full of cheering students singing out - "Stop in the Name of Love"!!! :0)
