out of the mouths of babes...

a group of 5th grade students were creating a series of samples when their teacher inadvertently stepped in to the room as the sampler started recording. She immediately let out an operatic "ahhhhhhhh" chuckled and stepped out of the room. The students didn't get the sample they were working on, but they got much more. I encouraged them to play back what we "actually" got. After much laughing, playing every melody imaginable with their new found treasure, I asked them "....so, what really happened here?". This wonderful little pixie of a girl said in the sweetest of voices ".....That's when the fat lady sings".

later.....their teacher and I laughed until we cried!
